Corendon Hotels & Resorts, renowned for their focus on personal service, partnered with Moss to streamline spend management, enabling them to prioritise delivering exceptional hospitality.

Corendon initially adopted Moss to simplify receipt collection and reduce administrative burden. As the business grew, finance operations became more complex and harder to scale.

With 200 to 250 transactions per month, the team relied on manual postings like cost centre & cost centre allocation, and project entries for the internal invoicing process. This created a heavy workload during the already busy month end closing.

At the same time, visibility into company spend was delayed, with finance teams often reacting only after monthly statements were received.

Moss has evolved into a core part of Corendon’s finance infrastructure, supporting both automation and scalability.

With improved integrations and the accounting add-on, transactions are now imported daily with descriptions, cost accounts and cost centres prefilled. This allows the team to spread workload across the month and significantly reduce manual effort.

Additional fields enable project-based accounting directly within Moss, removing the need for manual postings and simplifying internal invoicing.

Moss is also used across multiple departments. Marketing teams manage subscription-based spend, while purchasing teams use cards to act quickly in a fast-moving hospitality environment.

Moss has enabled Corendon to move from reactive finance processes to a more controlled and proactive approach.

The finance team now saves up to 2 workdays per month by eliminating manual postings and streamlining workflows.

Processing of credit card expenses is brought back from 2 weeks after month end to the first business day of the month end closing.

This shift allows the team to manage spend continuously throughout the month instead of relying on end-of-month reconciliation.

Real-time visibility into transactions has fundamentally changed how the finance team operates, giving them greater control and the ability to act faster when needed.

"We are much more on top of it now. We have real-time insight into all the transactions that are being made," noted Kasper van den Berg, Accounts Payable and Receivable Manager.  

This increased visibility has also improved behaviour across the organisation. Employees submit receipts more consistently, supported by clearer policies, regular reminders, and a simpler mobile-first process.
