Simmons Bar runs bars and hospitality venues across 14 UK sites, where purchasing needs to happen quickly at site level. With Moss, the team brought multi-site card spend under control through post-spend approvals that shift accountability to managers, and was up and running within about three weeks of signing up. Today around 1,000 card transactions flow through Moss each month, with a consistent process at every venue.

Before Moss, Simmons Bar used another spend platform, but the team wanted a cleaner, simpler experience. Cards were in circulation, but approvals and accountability were not structured in a consistent way across sites. Finance relied on manual chasing and escalation to complete documentation, and it was hard to quickly see who was missing receipts and what needed attention.

Moss gave every site the same simple workflow: buy what is needed, upload the receipt, and have a manager approve the spend after purchase. Post-spend approvals mean finance no longer has to police every transaction, while accountability sits with the right decision-maker. From head office, finance can pull reporting on missing receipts, send automated chasers, or export and escalate a clear list to operational leaders to resolve.

Simmons Bar now runs one consistent spend process across all 14 UK sites, processing around 1,000 card transactions a month through Moss. Post-spend approvals have removed day-to-day pressure from finance, automated chasing and reporting have made missing receipts easier to follow up, and the business was live within roughly three weeks of sign-up.
